Growing up I always had a special birthday cake made by my grandmother, and I was always, and still am, in awe of the great work she does. I have since taken up cake decorating as well, but still have a long way to go to be as good as she is. I have only made cakes for family, mostly my nephews, for the their birthdays, but I have done a couple baby shower cakes as well.
